How GiG Works

For Attendees

  • Browse hosts on the Home tab. Each host has a session card showing what they offer, their category, rating, and per-minute rate.

  • Tap a host to join. Your session is a live video call that starts right away.

  • You're billed at the host's per-minute rate, in arrears at 30-second increments, and only for the time you're connected.

  • New to a host? Your first session with them is a 90-second free trial, so you can try before you pay. You get up to 3 free trials in total, one per host.

For Hosts

  • Set up a session card describing what you offer and your per-minute rate.

  • Toggle yourself Online when you're ready to take calls. Your card then appears to attendees browsing the app.

  • When an attendee joins, your phone rings like a normal call. Accept it to start the video session.

  • You earn 80% of the billed amount for every paid session — your per-minute rate applied to connected call time, billed in arrears at 30-second increments — paid out weekly.

What makes GiG different

  • Live and on-demand — sessions happen in the moment, with no booking or scheduling.

  • Billed in arrears, in 30-second increments — attendees only pay for the connected time they spend, and hosts earn for every increment.

  • One-to-one — every session is a private video call between one attendee and one host.

FAQs

Can I sign up with an email and password?

No. GiG only supports sign-in via Google or Apple.

Do I need to book a session in advance?

No. GiG is live and on-demand. You join a host whenever they're online and available.

Is GiG free to use?

Creating an account is free. Attendees are billed at the host's per-minute rate, in arrears at 30-second increments (with free trials for new hosts), and hosts earn from the sessions they run.

Can I be both a host and an attendee?

Yes. You can join sessions as an attendee and set up your own session card to host — all from the same account.
