GiG Community Guidelines

1. Introduction

These Community Guidelines ("Guidelines") apply to everyone using GiG, whether as a Host or an Attendee. They work alongside our Terms of ServicePrivacy Policy, and Refund Policy. By using GiG, you agree to follow these Guidelines at all times, including during live sessions.

2. Real Identity & Honest Representation

Use your real identity. Profiles must not impersonate anyone or misrepresent who you are.

Hosts must ensure their session title, description, and any stated qualifications or credentials are accurate and not misleading. If you claim a qualification, licence, or area of expertise, you must actually hold it.

3. Prohibited Conduct

The following are never allowed on GiG:

  • Harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech of any kind;

  • Sexual content or services, including solicitation of sexual services;

  • Content involving minors — zero tolerance; any such content results in immediate account removal (see Section 6);

  • Violence or dangerous activities, including instructing or encouraging them;

  • Illegal conduct of any kind;

  • Scams, including fake or misrepresented services, and soliciting or accepting payment outside the GiG platform;

  • Spam or unsolicited promotional content;

  • Recording sessions or capturing attendee content without explicit consent and compliance with applicable law.

  • Discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other protected characteristics.

4. Age Restrictions

You must be at least 18 years old to use GiG, whether hosting or attending. We reserve the right to request age verification at any time and may suspend accounts we reasonably suspect belong to someone under 18.

5. Review Standards

Reviews must reflect a genuine session experience. Reviews may not contain:

  • Abusive or threatening language;

  • Personal information about the other party;

  • Content unrelated to the session; or

  • Content that was traded, coerced, or faked in exchange for a review.

We may remove reviews that violate these standards.

6. Reporting & Enforcement

How to Report. If you experience or witness a violation of these Guidelines, report it to us at support@gig.community with as much detail as you can provide — including the date/time of the session, the other party's name, and a description of what happened. Reports can be made by either Hosts or Attendees, about either Hosts or Attendees.

How We Review Reports. We aim to acknowledge reports within [1 business day] and complete an initial review within 5 business days. Reviews may include looking at session records, account history, and any other information reasonably available to us. We will not disclose the identity of a reporting user to the person they reported, except where required by law.

Enforcement Actions. Where we determine a violation has occurred, we may take action proportionate to its severity, including:

  • Warning — a notice explaining the violation and what's expected going forward, for a first-time or minor issue.

  • Temporary Suspension — your account or session is made unavailable for a defined period, typically following a repeated or more serious violation, or a warning that wasn't addressed.

  • Permanent Removal — your account is permanently disabled, for repeated violations following a suspension, or for a single violation serious enough to warrant it.

We consider factors such as the severity and intent behind the violation, whether it's a first occurrence or a pattern, and the risk it poses to other users when deciding which action applies.

Immediate Removal for Serious Misconduct. Some violations bypass the warning/suspension process entirely and result in immediate account removal, without prior notice. This includes: safety threats, sexual content or content involving minors, fraud, and other illegal conduct. Conduct in this category may also be reported to law enforcement or other relevant authorities.

Appeals. If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may request review by emailing support@gig.community within 14 days of the action, explaining why you believe it was incorrect. A different member of our team than the one who made the original decision will review your appeal and respond within 10 business days. Appeals are not available for immediate removals under Serious Misconduct, above.

Relationship to Other Rights. This process describes how we typically handle Guidelines violations. It does not limit GiG's broader right under the Terms of Service to suspend or terminate any account at any time, for any reason, including where we reasonably believe it's necessary to protect the safety of our users or the integrity of the Service.

7. Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these Guidelines from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting updated Guidelines on our website with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Guidelines.
