How GiG Works

GiG connects people for live, one-on-one video sessions. Attendees find a host they want to talk to and connect with them in real time. Hosts offer their time and expertise and earn from every session. Everything happens live inside the app — there's no scheduling or waiting.

Creating an Account

GiG accounts are created using your existing Google or Apple account — no new password or email sign-up required. Creating an account is free.

Managing Your Profile

Your profile is how other users recognise you on GiG. It includes your display name and profile photo. Hosts need a completed profile before they can go online. Attendees with a profile photo and name also create a better experience for the hosts they connect with.

Video Call Guide

GiG sessions are live video calls between a host and an attendee. This guide covers what to expect once your call starts and the controls available to you.

Ratings and Reviews

Ratings help attendees choose the right host and help hosts build their reputation on GiG. Ratings are given as 1 to 5 stars, with an optional written review.

Viewing Your Transaction History

Check what you've spent or earned on GiG at any time. Attendees see their session charges; hosts see their earnings.

Payments and Payouts

GiG uses Stripe to handle all payments securely. Attendees pay per minute for sessions; hosts earn from the sessions they run. Here's how it works for both.

Removing Your Payment Card or Bank Account

You can remove your saved payment card (attendees) or bank payout account (hosts) at any time.

Deleting Your Account

Deleting your GiG account is permanent. All your account data — including your profile, session history, and payment information — will be removed. This cannot be undone.
