How to Join a Session
New to GiG? Your very first session with any host is a free 90-second trial — no payment card required. You can start browsing and join a call right away.
Open the GiG app and sign in.
Tap the Home tab to browse available sessions. Each session card shows the host's name, photo, description, category, rating, and per-minute rate.
Use the search bar or category filters at the top to narrow down sessions by topic.
Tap a session card to join.
If this is your first session with this host and you don't have a payment card on file, the app confirms you're getting a 90-second free trial — tap through to start the call for free, no card needed. This applies once per host, for up to 3 hosts total.
If you've already used your trial with this host (or you have a card on file), the app will prompt you to add a payment card before proceeding. Follow the steps to add your card securely via Stripe.
Once you're set up — via free trial or payment card — tap Join to enter the session.
The video call starts automatically.

Sessions only appear when the host is online. If no sessions are showing, no hosts are currently available — check back later or try a different category.
You are billed in arrears at 30-second increments of connected call time, starting from the moment you join. A connected call under approximately 30 seconds is not charged. The rate is set by the host and shown on their session card before you join.
A payment card is needed to join sessions, except during your one-time 90-second free trial with a host. See: Payment & Payouts
FAQs
I can't see any sessions on the Home tab.
Sessions only appear when a host is online and available. If the list is empty, no hosts are currently live. Try a different category or search term, or check back later.
Can I try a session before being charged?
Yes. The first time you join a host without a payment card on file, you get a 90-second free trial. The app will let you know before the call starts. When the trial ends, the call ends — to continue with that host, add a payment card and rejoin.
How do I know how much a session will cost?
The host's per-minute rate is shown on their session card before you join. You are charged based on the total duration of your call, billed in arrears at 30-second increments.
What happens after the session ends?
Once the call ends, you may be prompted to leave a rating and review for the host.
